Did a search but found nothing so here we go........

Just curious if anyone here moved from the 4.3 to 4.7 V8V and what their thought were re the performance.

Also if anyone have driven both the 4.3 with the extra 20bhp and the 4.7

I moved from 4.3 coupe to 4.3 roadster to 4.7 roadster (all manual) and, whilst I never thought the 4.3 was slow, you have to thrash it to get the best out of it. The 4.7, having more torque, can be driven more leisurely if the mood takes you, but still responds well to being rev'd when you're feeling more aggressive. IMO, the 4.7 is what the car should have had from day 1.

The 4.7 has 420BHP (430BHP for the 4.7 V8S) and the 4.3 had 380BHP. Thats 40-50BHP more in my book. Torque also increased from 409NM to 470NM!

Quite a step up...

Think that covers it! I had the 4.3, then had the Aston upgrade fitted and now have the 4.7. Each step gives more low down performance in the rev range with increase torque.

The extra grunt is fabulous both in the mid-range & at the top end (well worth the extra sheckles IMO!) but don't forget the 4.7 also features modifications to the consumption/C02 output, suspension, clutch, gear-change, brakes, steering, interior along with option upgrades (even the Sat Nav is better!) - it was a very thorough re-vamp. AML listened to feedback and looked at areas that required improvement learning from the first 3 years of production. The Sportspack was also launched (N400 aside!)which is a must have for the press on driver (although you can retro-fit to a 4.3).

As ever drive both and see what YOU think.

Are you sure?? I was pretty certain that the centre console was revised as part of the whole 4.7 facelift.

Nope ALL 4.7's have the newer console
First release was MY09 so 01/09/08
There are ALOT of 4.3's registered after that which makes it confusing.
