The original must have been done in Arabic.

If green is indeed AM, it would seem that 2004 was a pivotal year.

Now what happened in 2004.........anyone........sMurph ?

Started selling DB9, then V8 in 2005

Surprising to see Aston beating Ferrari UK sales in 2003 with the Vanquish, DB7 vs 575, 456M, 360 and ENZO?

These are the Stock not the incr/(Decr) no.s. So at end Q4 2010 there were 14,758 AMs taxed in the UK (There BTW were 1690 SORN). Over 50% of all taxed Astons are DB9/V8 Vantages (10% are N/K).

Apologies for the Arabic presentation, it's the way the DVLA present its spreadsheets

q4 2010 raw data by model below

So over 10% of known Astons have a SORN on them, eh.

Wonder how that compares with other marques ??

Nearly 50% of the Zagatos have SORNS - does this mean they are off-road in collections ??

I assume DB3 is the Mark III.

I also assume the volume of SORNS on DBS, Virages etc reflects previous models.

Surprised to see SORNS on the V12V - older model or garage queens? smile

True - but not something I was going to chance asking :-) where are all these Astons? Besides the one in my road I rarely see one.

Was there an older model V12V? I thought the original Vantage was a 6.3 V8, but I may be wrong smile

We should be thankful for all those 'garage queens' too! In years to come, we will pay homage to their owners for keeping them immaculate!

Would be interesting to see the number of SORN'd Ferraris in Q4 2010. Would be good to know if the total number of Ferraris known to the DVLA was higher or lower than AMs. I suspect Ferrari has a higher percentage of SORN cars.

One of those V12V's (2010 model) was definately mine. Sadly, as I work overseas, I only get to drive it 6 weeks of the year. I SORN the vehicle everytime I go away and this reduced my road fund from GBP460/yr down to a more respectable GBP80/yr!

2,140 SORN Ferraris at end Q4 2010 (23.6% of the 9057 cars registered at DVLA).

Ah, but there are 1,764 cars in the table undesignated... Surely these include some of the above (as well as some pre-war cars perhaps? scratchchin)

The DVLA data starts identifying model in the DB era, so all pre-war cars must be Not knowns/blanks. However, if you look at the next level of the data (which is a bit of a mess) it suggests that there are 3941 V8 Vantage (new) coupe and only 169 Roadsters, which has to be wrong.

These are figures from a government department - I doubt they reflect the true figures at all.
I'd take them all with a very large pinch of salt.

Why should that be? We pay millions in taxes and the Govt department spend millions just ensure that these figures are correct. No?
