Alloy wheel refurb in Kent

Normally get mine done at Lepsons (Gillingham) but they said I'd have to wait a month to take the car in (and it would take 3 days), or take the wheel in and it would take 7-10 working days. Apparently, they are really busy (700 wheels/week), so I took my car to a small (2 guys) firm in Rochester (http://www.inspraytionsmartrepair.co.uk) instead. They took the car in straight away, gave me a lift to the station, did my front left wheel in 2 days - good job was done for £55 all in. Was tempted to have all 4 done as they've a 4 for 3 offer on, but thought I'd leave that for a while until they need it!

Did they remove the tyre and rebalance the wheel for that price? Some companies leave the tyre on, but just deflate it move it away from the rim, then reinflate it afterwards saving the cost of rebalancing the wheel.

Smart repairs tend to be paint & lacquer on the car rather than strip down and powder coat like Lepsons.

Yes they did they remove the tyre, strip the paint, repair damage etc and rebalance/refit. At the price, I could have had all 4 done for less than the price of 2 at Lepsons. I was quoted 65+VAT (take wheel in) or 95+VAT (take car in) at Lepsons. They do good work but its not the cheapest.

That company seems a good alternative. Anyone recommend someone in the surrey/Middx area? I need all wheels off and full re-spray inside and out due some minor kerbing and baked on brake dust (from when brought!)
