By popular request and as head chav of the DB9 brigade... My DBS bonnet fitted to my DB9. Picture don't so it justice (so wait for Hever before judgement), it has added a subtle sense of purpose to the car which complements the other changes quite well. My god, it's fast as well after Rick's (DMS) mods, really ballistically fast! Crossed Belgium and France in scorching sunshine and torrential rain gettimg me home relaxed and eager for Le Mans on Wednesday in it!

I await the judgement of Michael, Tony and George with great trepidation...

Yeti - the car looks brilliant and confused simultaneously.

Now if your 2 surface-mounted grills had been shaped like the Virage.............smile

That looks fantastic!
99.9% of people will have no idea there is any change however. They will just see a cool car! (and wonder what that noise is!!!!)

Just enjoy it. As the Hoff would say... Good job man!!!

Thanks... I think?

I think the DBS bumpers/sills are way over the top on a DB9 and also trying to make the car something it's not. However the bonnet was a straight fit and just adds an air of aggression without trying to pretent to be a DBS. The lowering and widening of track also do this but it looks standard until you see it next to another DB9. That's the look I was aiming for, wht i think the DB9 should have looked like!

Also took the opportunity to have the entire front from A-pillars forward painted so I am stone-chip free smile

Thanks Tony, the guys at Nick Mee said they had reservations when I asked them to do it but are amazed at it and liking it a lot. I think the colour may help it. It was probably the most photographed car at Spa this weekend and was the only non-Italian car on display!

Sarah also says she's going to snitch on me to you as I have now cleaned my car TWICE!

At first I was skeptical and didn't think I would like it, but I have to admit it looks rather nice.

Is there anything different on the new one except for the additional vents? Is it carbon fibre too?

Yeti - it is a resounding success - I would certainly copy you.

I only have 5 slats on my front grill.

As for the surface mounted mesh on the bonnet vents, if you look closely at the new Virage you will note that it has a 3-stepped effect which I find very clever smile

It is full carbon fibre but not much lighter as still ally supported. The extra vents are the main change BUT the angle of the bonnet bulge may be slightly sharper - it certainly shows up more I think, though it could just be in my head.

I like it, and am now off to a vinyl place to get my yellow mouth and stripe for Le Mans... Pictures before I leave for the ferry on Wednesday!

They do like rather good... Not a direct swap looking at the cutout thoough. Must admit I am happy where I am for now.

Hopefully mr King is sorting out some rather special brakes for me and then it's finished (apart from a quicker steering rack wink )

I was going to have some bespoke luggage made in Parliament Green leather but Burberry check sounds much more up my alley wink

Car getting striped tomorrow. It'll look very festive for Le Mans!

Looks good - is it a straight replacement and paint or is there more involved - rough budget ?

I paid £1000 for the bonnet in as-new condition. I was quoted £800 to paint it or £2k to paint the whole front so I did that. So £3k plus grilles and lining is what it cost me. However the bonnets are 4x that amount normally.

It also took Andy at Nick Mee a while to fit it, shim the wings etc and try and align it, as it would any bonnet.

Not a cheap mod but it makes the car for me!
