v8v broken door glass
Discussion
Hi all, recently had a broken drivers door glass but when the door shuts you can hear the old glass in bottom of the door.I've made an attachment for the hoover to get to the hard to reach bits and looks perfectly free of glass but still can here it when shutting door, any ideas? jason.
I've taken off the door card, hoovered out the inside of door, still the sound of glass so i put a 10mm hose on the end of the hoover and got loads more out.I Can't see any more glass but can still hear it.The glass broke when it was at the dealers having the usual door blisters done under warranty .

Personally, therefore, I'd get it out by driving up to the repairing dealer, demonstrate the rattly door and asking him kindly and politely to finish the repair job (that was never needed when you dropped the car in) properly and at their expense (if you live a bit of a way from the dealer, I'd be billing them for fuel and time too).I'd also be asking for a loaner car while he was fixing it, and explaining where the 10mm hoover hose will next be inserted if they don't sort it properly this time

Your right but this was one of many problems after the work they done and ive taken it back once only to be returned with more new problems
Have a chat with the dealer principle and explain your displeasure. Suggest that you'll happily give them one more chance, but if there's a single fault with the car on next return you will get it fixed elsewhere and send them the bill.Edited by JA51ON W on Sunday 5th June 18:16

Thanks for your help andy
I guess it's not really that helpful! But if you've taken the door card off the straightforward stuff has been done and anything more will likely be significantly more involved. You've paid to have a piece of work done (or the warranty company has) and it's not been done properly. So they should fix it.
Is it an AM warranty? If you get no joy from the dealer, it might be worth having a word with the warranty team at head office and explaining the situation, and that you're not happy with the quality of work. I'd think it would be these guys that pay the dealer, and might be disinclined to pay out if the work's not been done/finished (properly).
Good luck in getting it sorted though.
