V8V prices similar to DB9 - DB9 a bargain then?
Discussion
You have to be careful with these sort of comparisons. I doubt you'd get a similar age/mileage/condition DB9 for the same money as a V8V.
So you have to ask yourself what you are most prepared to compromise on.
Also, DB9 and V8V are very different cars. If you're old, and smell slightly musty, the DB9 would probably be a good choice.

Was half thinking of a V8V but intrigued to see that DB9 prices are pretty similar. Although I prefer the looks of the V8V I think I'd find the V12 to be pretty hard to ignore?
I think you have to accept the broad assertion that the DB9 is a fantastic car. It's also probably fair to say it's better suited to the more senior gentleman or lady.
More seriously - very different cars - test drive them both.

Whereas if your an Astra driver who has just won the lottery, or from Essex , the V8V is perfect ( in defense of us old slightly musty smelling V12 chaps )So you have to ask yourself what you are most prepared to compromise on.

What goes around, comes around though. I'm likely to be moving to Essex this year and fully expect no mercy from you both
I think the DB9 has always been a bargain, even when new. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a Ferrari 599/612 and has a lot more to offer than a Bentley Conti GT, including some excitement! At £40k they are a steal, no better car exists for that money.
Putting it up against the 'baby' Aston is a bit like putting a Boxster/Cayman up against a 997, both can be had for £40k. The Box/Cayman will be newer of course, but who cares, one is the 'real thing'.
DB9 and that V12 all day, you're getting £120k worth of motoring icon instead of a car that can't quite rival the bog standard 911

Normal DB9 with TT2, perhaps. Not mine or a few of the others on here. There's nothing sedate about a manual one with the sports pack. It's also probably fair to say it's better suited to the more senior gentleman or lady.
