Hi

The memory seats in my '10 V8V seem to have developed Alzheimer's!

The seat position isn't changing to the memorized one when pressing the appropriate button. And sometimes, the "memorised" bong sounds when just pressing the number, not M-number.

I think the passenger seat adjustment's gone a bit haywire as well, as it's not automatically moving the seat back up when it's about to hit the rear shelf either.

Was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, and if perhaps there's a way to reset the module that may cure it.

"Occasionally the seats need resetting, which is disconcerting as you need to move all the way up all the way towards the dash, the back all the way towards the dash- everything up and forward. Don’t panic thinking you will make it worse / un-drivable (seat too far forward), it does work."

A quote from the PH Aston FAQ... biggrin

Unfortunately seat resets on new cars need to be done using the Aston computer. Maybe worth booking it in and seeing if there are any fault codes relating to the issue.

As for the driver's seat issue, it's now acting as if the M button's pressed in all the time, so looks like either a switch fault or a control unit.
I'll probably wait until I take it in for a service to get it fixed.

not had anything spilt on it has it? might be causing the microswitch to stick down.

Not since I've owned it!

Bit of Gin, maybe. Vodka too, mixed in with a bit of coke. Perhaps some lager, or bitter, depending on how you feel. Baileys is nice on the rocks, or perhaps you're a brandy man.

All easily spilled when hitting potholes at high speed.

Or did you mean cleaning fluid smile
