Hi folks

In the summer we are taking our DB9 across to the Continent(Brugges - Koblenz - Wurzburg - Fussen - Baden Baden - Luxembourg - N France) and I was wondering if any folks out there had a list of

1) Dealerships in these countries, and
2) Suitable tyre replacement companies in these countries

Just in case smile

cheers

Graham

1) The dealerships are in the owner's manual IIRC.

I believe largest tyre distributors in Europe is Firststop they used to have a complete list for each country this unfortunately is no longer on their web site.
But if you know the districts you are travelling through then you can plan accordingly. I have used them in Spain and they were very good, a Bridgestone tyre was available within two hours.
Unlike the breakdown services who are a not always very knowledgeable and only want transport you to a dealership often miles away from where you need to be.
If you can get the telephone numbers for those tyre distributors and dealers in the areas you are travelling through it will save many hours of frustration/heartache.
Happy travelling.

PS also get the distributor for the tyres you use ie Bridgestone.

Take a data equipped phone (even if you don't have roaming on all the time) and get yourself decent euro roadside cover.

Then just enjoy the trip and if anything happens, lean on the roadside cover and/or post an SOS up here.

Job done.

The EU dealer networks below, if you find the town/city travelling through get the dealer and the telephone number. Or the list of Firststop centres for each city.

http://www.firststop.de/website/deutsch/Haendlerfi...

http://www.bridgestone.de/

Just choose the country and again the distributors.
Using the translate google or others.

Haha - now that looks difficult to find....^^

I would join ADAC recovery and not fret about the rest of it. You are going to Europe, not Mongolia.

I was looking on the AMOC site for some reason, D'oh banghead

Regarding the other comments re Mongolia - I just like to be prepared that's all - personal preference. Has always worked for me in the past.Gives me the option of sorting out anything minor before having to call out any support. Each to their own...

I have just driven my 6 year old DB9 to Ingolstadt and back. The car ran faultlessly averaging 24.2 mph over 1600 miles.
