Apologies.

I thought Mr Q meant that the £7.79 included Vat and Delivery.

I must learn to read these things properly smile

So a 16ltr drum is at £7.79 per ltr.

And a 6ltr drum is at £8.40 per ltr.

Both scenarios come with free delivery as they are over £50 each.

Seems like a good deal for that quality of oil Mr Q smile

Not everybody who drives an Aston Martin is on football player wages.......if I can save £180 on oil for a very small amount of effort, that's a damm fine meal out with my wife .... At least that's they way I look at it

Does oil not degrade if you keep it too long - if so it might not be such a good idea hanging on to it.

So - a dealer charges £18 per litre and you've bought the exact same oil for about £10 per litre less.
Sorry for the perhaps daft question - but will the dealer charge 'corkage' for using your oil? Same way a restaurant will charge you if you bring your own wine.

I spoke to the chap who's going to get my service work, and asked him if it was ok to bring my own oil?smile

His reply was "Of course it is, especially if you can get it a a good price......no problem at all"biggrin

He, himself doesn't charge £18 per litre, but he said it was still a nice way to save a few quid...
Excellent. A nice saving for you. I think I'll do that whenever my next service is due. Thank you for the tip :-)

Rick charges £8.85 + Vat per litre of oil, and you require 10 litres approx for the service smile

No never...... Or at least I have never heard of it......in the wise words of Mr Hall of AM racing green fame, if they did try tell them to fk right off

Mr Q, why does my manual for my March 09 DB9 advise me to use Mobil 1 0w-40 ??

When did AM change their advice to Castrol Edge 10w-60 ??

What do those numbers mean ??

Last May I bought a 4 litre of Mobil 1 in Costco @ £25 + vat - I've never needed to use it, and even before Rick did his service a couple of months ago the oil was clean as if it had just been put in smile
