Apart from the rattle somewhere inside the dash only when glovebox is closed, the other niggle with the V8V is that when you open the boot after it's been raining, all the water pours off into the boot - is there some sort of mod to the seals to prevent this?
The only solution I can see to stop the boot smelling of damp in the long term is to make sure I run the air-con to dehumidify the interior.

Open it slowly, let most of the water run off once you open it an inch or two. Well thats how I do it.The only solution I can see to stop the boot smelling of damp in the long term is to make sure I run the air-con to dehumidify the interior.
Mine does the same thing. I had my dealer look into this during the last visit and asked to make certain no drain holes were plugged. Everything checked out ok and it still fills with water after washing the car, etc. My solution is to keep a few towels draped over the inside the trunk so water drips onto the towels instead. I think it is a design flaw of some sort.
Also had the same problem but on the left side. Asked the dealer to check it wasn't blocked when I first bought it, but problem returned within a few weeks.
When in another dealer sorting an unrelated problem, they told me this drainage issue was common and their 'fix' for it was to fill the holes with a silicon gel as apparently it can lead to a worse problem - the water draining directly into the boot !!
