If you're colour-blind like me, and generally just a bit crap at the whole colour thing, you might find this useful. Some helpful chap has put together an album of V8 Vantage pics in all the body colours available - not sure if there's any missing though.

A couple of the Vertigo Blue pictures don't look quite right to me, like this one: http://picasaweb.google.com/116862365977477158683/...

Looks a bit flat and a bit dark?

I love Vesuvius Orange myself, but it might be a bit more California than Surrey smile

Brilliant link, but... no Chiltern Green, the only one that *really* matters!

Loving California Sage though, if ever I need a respray...

Sunburst Yellow looks too washed out. Shame, but it seems the link can't be relied on too much.

Least they have got Pentland green on biggrin

I do really love the look of that Buckinghamshire green.

Karussel orange is nice too.

Sounds like a bit of a project in wanting to me, if I can find the time and energy I might have a crack at knocking something similar (and correct!) up, including interior colours. It would sure benefit me, maybe others too.

Colourblind though, so proof-readers would be welcome! beer

So I am assuming Goodwood Green will probably look a lot like Merlot Red, eh? wink

That's the one, I always thought it was there in the list!?

The Karussell is a bit of an acquired taste I think, not as minging as the Hellrot Red though. Do we get 'Hardly Green' in the UK? It's growing on me, a touch brighter than Titanium but no as much as Silver Blonde.

Because, you're worth it wobble

I'm fairly sure we get Hardly green, I'm sure I saw a V12V painted in it. Can't be sure if it was, but certainly looked like it smile

I first saw these over on the AMOC boards and did comment that I felt I was being stalked irked (13 of those photos are of mine)

You're quite correct though, that doesn't look like Vertigo at all

The problem is that some of the colours never look the same in photos as they do in the flesh ... Karrussell Orange being one of them ... wink

Toro Red is another which look stunning in the flesh but only one of the four pictures comes close (the third one). The first is way off the mark and the other two are washed out.

The site is a good starting point to get a vague idea maybe but certainly isn't something to rely on when deciding on the colour! smile

Yup - every BMW catalogue I looked in earlier in the year for company vehicles had a colour chart disclaimer using the words 'indicative' and 'no substitute for viewing the car' etc.

I'm sure all manufacturers are the same, and the problem isn't just confined to car makers smile

Yep...completely agree. The best picture I've seen of mine was taken by someone at Newby Hall on Sunday and posted in the Events section; whenever I take pictures of it it looks burgundy confused

Indeed we do - there's one for sale in my local dealer and my wife loves it. She asked if we could have a his and hers but shut up when I said of course!
