db7 zagato convertable on ebay !?
Discussion
Hi all,
There is currently a "1996 DB7 Zagato" for sale on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...
...but I didn't think Zagato did anything with the i6 DB7..? Is this "rare" because its an early DB7 that someone has fitted the later Zagato front to or is it actually correct ?
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Matt.

It's been for sale for ages! It's horrendously poorly proportioned with that front end, shame really.
Amazed a Zagato front end could be bought, mus have been an accidentally ordered or damaged repauired part at a dealer.
Someone clever could fab the rear lights and remove the hood completely, add a double-bubble rear panel to make a Roadster. But why bother... Better to fit a proper DB7 front end.

[quote=Good Soil (Pete)]I think your answer is in the ad itself.....
"This is a beautiful Aston Martin DB7 Volante with a rare Zagato kit. It was cat D damaged and the front grill was replaced."
Sounds like it's been in a smash so they put the Zagato front end on when they had a chance to.....

Indeed - I was just trying to understand the semantics of it as it reads as if the damage was to the existing zagato front end and there is no description as to the repair other then a grill replacement. Thanks for the clarification
