Down to just 3 cars nationally - the lowest I have seen since I bought my car last Aug!

That's gotta be good news for the few of us lucky enough to already own one.

Only 2000 miles on mine but I have to say its the best car I have ever owned by a huge margin! Well done AM on making such a perfect car!

Is the V12 Zagato the end of the line then?

How long before the few on PH classifieds disappear too? Not many new ones coming up at the mo and they mostly appear to be hammerhead.
IMO, there wont be too many fresh ones now until end of season Aug/Sept time?

they have stopped making it I believe - it's more or less reached the 1,000 mark including those 'in build'

Do you know what the LHD/RHD split is?

And - most importantly - how many were made in Mako blue? :-)

Are the Zagato ones made on top of the 1000 already produced, or just modified versions of the original car?

That's what I thought, but if you go on the AM NEW car locator section, the V12V is still on offer confused

Oh sure, why don't you just ask me for a full colour & country breakdown of every model sold !!!! :-)

I was at my local dealer last week to talk about the Zagato when we talked about the V12 in passing and he seemed to think that a lot of people were in for a rude shock soon, as numbers available become severely depleted. The V12V really should become a future classic.

There may be some in build, but apparantly if you want to spec one up, you are probably too late, unless there is just the odd one that a dealer has on order to their spec which there is time to change to your own

In general, prices have risen across the board compared to when I bought in March last year, due to the then over supply having filtered its way into the market. There were lots of unregistered cars on the floor when I bought (compared to now). If you look at the prices of second hand, low mileage DBS as well as V12V, the prices are significantly firmer as a result

The dealer seemed to think we were heading back to the old days of a few years ago when the dealers weren't ordering many cars for stock, cars would be built to specific customer order, with say a 6 mth lead time and little or no discount. Of course a dealer would say that !!!! The stated reason so many cars the last 2 yrs have obsidian black interior and outside are a variation on silver, grey or black is they were considered safe saleable choices by the dealers that spec'd them up for stock. Good news for existing owners, not so good for those about to buy...............

Speaking to my local AM dealer the other day, he said that the 1000 figure had been extended to 1200 V12V's now.

No idea how true that is, but of course a dealer told me so it MUST be true! biggrin

Would I be right in thinking that the added extra 200 will more than likely be heading off to Russia and China.

Sounds like in general, the dealers aren't being given accurate or consistent info by their mothership..............

Slightly OT, there is no doubt that Aston are keeping their cards incredibly close to their chests these days, with the dealers being the last to find out about new launches such as the vantage S, the virage and the Zagato. In fact the press seem to be given the info (subject to embargo) before the dealers

I have noticed the drop in the PH Classifieds too, only 8 now, whereas there were 17 a couple of weeks ago.

Seems like they're finally selling. Either that or they're all on boats to Japan right now...

Interesting to see that there were at least 5 VV12's at the AMOC concours event - 3 Quantum, 1 Meteorite and a Hardly Green... common as muck biggrin

Oi John!! You've nicked my post hehe
Last time I asked the number of Makos had increased from 4 to 6.

And yes, we NEED a full breakdown of colours of UK supplied cars giving total number built and registered for the UK.......pronto!! biggrin

Do love Mako and it seems to work better on the V12V than anything else

How much difference is there between the Gulf racing blue and mako blue - to me, whilst one is more flat, they appear quite similar shades ?

I was told by my main dealer that 40% of V12V's were UK registered.

At the AM works event a few weeks ago I was told that the V12V had reached 800 and that 250 were in the UK.

LOL, thanks old bean wink
I think Gulf blue is a flat colour. Like many, if not all, of the V12V colours, the paint has many characteristics to it resulting in various shade changes dependent on lighting conditions.
Mako can be powder blue, show silvery traces and you also get hints of pale gold.
To me it is quite complex and in bright sunlight is worth studying as this also brings out stronger blue hues. lick
John - care to add your take on this?
