DB7 buying advice please
Discussion
Hi all,
Having decided the Vantage purchase has to go on hold for a while longer whilst house purchase are prioritised, Aston ownership continues to scratch at me. So apologies for asking the obvious, but any advice or experiences on the buying and ownership experience of a DB7 shall be appreciated.
I've decided against the V12 simply due to running costs. Model year is likley to be no younger than '97 and am not concerned by mileage as history will demo the care and effort put in by previous owners.
Sorry for asking for 'obvious' advice, I have searched the threads...!

If you are looking for a car that is no younger than a '97, then you are not looking at a Vantage, which is good, because if you want a car that you can use evry day with lowish running costs then a DB7i6 is the perfect choice.
There are some very good ones around that have been well cared for. FSH is essential.
If you want a supercar, buy a DB9.

Minor technicality George.
It is a Car and it is Super.
It is also far too good looking to be a 'supercar'
Agreed it is a super good car It is a Car and it is Super.

But it doesn't have stupid wings on it, it isn't garish, is comfy to sit in, and (usually) the people who drive them aren't pretentious - therefore not a supercar.

Was going to argue the 'supercar' point, can't help but agree with your definition! 1-77 is a supercar, everything else in the range is a GT. Vantage special editions are sports cars I suppose, s they do at least compete in motorsport! But it doesn't have stupid wings on it, it isn't garish, is comfy to sit in, and (usually) the people who drive them aren't pretentious - therefore not a supercar.

Yes, so glad I don't have one of those awful supercars. I mean, who would want all that incredible speed and performance? Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
