Picked up another company Vantage but get a load of the monstrosities that came with the car. Who knew that these wheels which look so good in anthracite could be made to look so bad!!!!! Suffice it to say, they aren't here to stay so if anyone has a '96 Ford Crown Victoria or maybe a Buick Regal and is looking for some sick rims....

I've seen ALOT worse on Astons! laugh
The smoked chrome look is very BMW but it looks OK to me!
I'd be more concerned about the OTT front splitter and the equally ghastly rear spoiler frown
At least the changes suggest the owner was interested in the car and probably looked after it well wink

BTW I'm not too keen the the wheels on this either wink

ETA Have you changed the side, bonnet and front grill to black on that?

Seen worse, but the car still looks awful. Needs a respray in a better colour and the stupid splitter and spoiler taking off before the wheels.

I prefer it to that one with the black wheels above though, that is too chavved up for my liking.

I like the OE wheels...they would make someone a fine set of spare track or winter wheels

I do not think the wheels are that bad, but the add on spoiler does not fit the look of the Vantage.

I like that, but then I've never been a great fan of chrome!

Stuart's company manufactures the splitter and spoiler.

I like their front splitter and rear diffuser, but agree on the spoiler

Yes we did - that was the 'old' car. Window trims were blacked out as well.

These are the ugliest wheels I've seen on an Aston (or maybe anything):

Yeah those weren't my favourite either, they were actually a loaner set from COR. Long story, but they were a borrowed set.

That kind of reminds me in a weird way of a Triumph Spitfire someone turned into a monster truck.

I agree. I tend to dislike most aftermarket wheels, but the chrome ones don't look so bad on this white car. However, the splitter and spoiler are ugly, especially in black.

I think the splitter and spoiler are fine if body coloured ...just wonder how long the splitter is going to last in every day use ...best keep a spare in the garage

in Lotus world, the splitter on the Exige is a disposable item, aftermarket get them in black gelcoat, dont paint them, because they are chipped so often on ramps/bumps

on the Furball run a few years back, with Ferrari and Lambos for company, it was quite nice being one of the few cars who could park in the hotel car parks underground, without faffing about with extra wooden ramps due to grounding out

..to me the beauty of the Aston is its practicality and useability ...lowering it, fitting (even) more lower profile rubber, splitters etc...just loses this for me

if I want a weekend toy, id be in a Lambo now...but I prefer a daily useable sportscar smile

The wheels on early DB7's that looked like dinner plates were vile. Such a crime on what still is one of the most beautiful cars to come out of the 90's.

Same is true of 996 GT3's and ironically Aston V8 with the standard front bumper.
If you have a look there is a narrow strip of black plastic held on with a few screws!

yeah, I need a new one ....although the rest of the bumper is so peppered, it cant wait for now....rarely have I scuffed it thouhg, the approach angle isnt that bad for a "sportscar"

Our first car was lowered + splitter and it was probably about the same as driving a stock Gallardo, some parking lots required you to approach with a little bit of angle. Ultimately pretty durable though, you'd really have to hit something with a bit of speed to break it. I agree with you about body coloured too, great look. I have some pics of a white car done like this but I won't post them because they are watermarked
