not sure there is that much interest on this forum for this subject......ps stop talking to yourself its not attractive
Rather harsh Michael...Not that there's a lack of interest, just a lack of sufficient knowledge I'd say.
And besides, talking to himself may be the only way he can be sure of intelligent conversation. He lives in the US of A don't forget...

Hi Rob...!
The engine had 'the works' before crossing the pond.....!
And for sure, set-up info on here would be a stretch too far, but I think it's a great idea to have an N24 / GT4 area on PH...
Any other owners / racers out there reading this..??
Good luck with the test sessions and your first race Rob - be great to hear how you get on.
Mike.

What chassis number is it?
What did you do to it Mike??
There is a basic set up point with these cars that works pretty well.
Brake temps are critical, twin ducting to the fronts if a novice / gentleman driver is essential.
Change gearbox oil as frequently as engine, keep an eye on the ring & pinion, pitting is not uncommon and setting the (replacement) shaft up is fairly tricky and needs specialist tools.
Run the car with the dsc off always, otherwise it increases brake temps. There are ways of switching off the system to stop having to flick the switch on each start up.

First test session went very well Mike. No problems. Used Dunlops gave out after 60 minutes (strangely the rear left but I am guessing it was more worn than the others to begin with) but even with big oversteer (I set my cars up for a bit of that anyway) the car was predictable and in control.
My chassis number is AMLVANTAGEN24S016. Had the DSC on for the first short 10 min session but off after that. Will note comments on fluids. Thanks. That is exactly the kind of information exchange that will make my experience better (and not so expensive!) Having issues with the Pi Omega dash and will start another thread on that specifically.
