I want one!

Does anyone have a view on the N400 (all welcome) I beleive it will be more sought after than the mass produced 4.7 but wonder with the prices aligning if the heart is ruling the head?! I have onwed a 4.3 roadster previously and felt it need a bit more pace and feel is that the case with the 4.7? i know it feels better in an N400

Of course if anyone is selling aswell ???

Thanks

Tom

I started out looking for an N400 roadster, only saw one in the 3 months I looked. I ended up with a 4.7 with sports pack.
They are rare and IMHO an early 4.7 with sports pack is a better package, with a better spec.
Some dealers do seem to expect a large premium for them but those seem to hang around.
I wouldn't say they are "mass produced" there are only ~30 roadsters of all years for sale in the classifieds and many have been there for months and months (yellow 4.3 with sport pack wheels wink )

Thanks Mikey - I agree on the rarity but 1 out of 240 sounds very appealing. I haven't driven a 4.7 but have seen some great ones with sport packs

They do come up but are very rare
Roadster prices are seasonal as well (peaking about now wink )
Once I drove a 4.7 with the Sport Pack the decision was easy for me wink
Beware of copies that have had some of the bits added as well.

There are a couple of black ones for sale on here, though I'm dubious on the Stratstone Derby one as it is missing the wheels, the rear badge and the rear lights wink

Ironically there are now no 4.7 Sport Packs close to them frown
But this 2 year newer car just sold

Thanks Mikey,

I have seen these and am of the same opinion of the one in Derby. If it is a real N400 the sales guy should be sacked for uploading standard pictures. Also the gear shift looks like it is out of a DBS/V12V. The private sale is too expensive and is sportshift which is not my priority. One just sold Black Manual from an official dealer for £59.9k with 12k on the clock. Gutted I just missed it!

I would prefer a lightning silver car so the quest will go on...

Prices for the N400 seem to vary rather wildly. I bought one (coupe) in Feb this year and there was nothing really around at the time. A manual 4.7 with skirts and sports pack was quite a bit more (and had more miles on it, 2 years worth for me) so it was a no-brainer. The stock 4.3 version didn't have the skirts (ok, you can add them later) or the sportspack suspension - both of which I wanted.

It will be interesting to see how the prices of the N400 vs early 4.7s goes in the next year or so - I suspect there will be very little difference so it's a choice thing I guess.

The private prices vary very wildly (usually over optimistic). But the dealer prices although seemingly very varied actually when plotted on a graph of price vs mileage are almost a straight line, with depreciation of just under 50p per mile.

I would put the graph in if I could be bothered to work out how to save a graph as a jpg/gif from Excel

Interior photos are an N400 (the armrest stitching and turned aluminium upper panel on dash confirm that) but the rest most definitely aren't - wrong wheels, no skirts and wrong rear lights give that away for starters....

1 in quite a few less than 240 - AM didn't make the full run of either N400 coupe or roadster ... out of the 480 cars, it is believed they only built around 430 or less ....
