Just looking at a fab blue DB9 2004 on ebay here
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ASTON-MARTIN-DB9-AUTO-BLUE-2...
Noticed there is no mention of Sat Nav and the internal picture does not show any lines/joins on the wooden centre section .
Was Sat Nav an extra on ealier models ? If so will these cars now attract a premium given how useless early sat navs were ?
Already got a Volante ,a coupe as well would be pure greed would'nt it - but it looks spectacular , it would be auto my Volante is manual.. - no stop it - help fellow Aston sufferers winknono

The sat nav is more of a liability than a benefit- no post code search, not very good mapping- get a small portable unit!

£40 gets you the disc update with full 6 digit post codes. Stick it in and off you go.

Standard from 2005 on a DB9 is what I have been told. I suppose you could ask *not* to have it...

http://www.satnav-updates.com/

They look like copies but they actually work.

E-mail them with your car spec and they will determine the type of disc you require. The disc must stay in the player or it reverts to the previous configuration.

It didn't give me full postcode because I already had it - but it did update my map and speed cameras smile

They are not legit (unless you already own the original disc).

Hunt around on eBay as I picked up a genuine Volvo disc 2nd hand for around 80 notes.

I'd actually pay a premium for not having a sat nav. I don't have a sat nav in any of my cars and I don't miss one in 99% of the time. For the other 1% I use old fashioned maps or the gps on my iphone.
And of course the dash does look cleaner without the cutout (although I have to admit that Astons approach of integrating a sat nav into the dash is by far the nicest!!).
All IMHO, but then I also wouldn't want memory seats; cruise or bluetooth as I prefer the look without all those buttons.

ETA:
The one on eBay looks gorgeous!!!! wink

What buttons do you get with bluetooth that are non-standard?

Aren't the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel for cruise and the ones on the left side for bluetooth? Or are those for the stereo?
Aesthetically I prefer the steering wheel without any of those.

I dont think its daft, that orrible rattling sat nav looking ugly stuck out of the dash, when a far smaller unit is miles better! and can be replaced when it packs up as it inevitably will!

Who would order a £120k car without sat nav in the first place?! I rarely use it but wouldn't have an expensive car without manufacturer fitted sat nav, even if it isn't as good as a tomtom.
