Quick question I hope, and I'm probably being a bit silly not knowing, but do our Astons come with some sort of European breakdown cover or assistance? My previous cars (BMW, Audi etc) have had 3 years or so cover for free from new, but not so sure about my 18 month old V8V!

Thanks

Yes, they do come with cover for Europe. Not had reason to use it, so can't comment on the quality of service.

Yes they are not to bad if you are still under the 3 years warranty, however I had a problem on a long trip round Spain and on the first day in Leon in Spain.
I managed to take out a tyre wall in in hotel car park as a result of a flower arrangement on a low wall with a decorative tile on the top.

Rang Aston Martin, European support which I believe is supported by Green Flag only to be told tyres are not covered when I explained all I wanted was a stockist of tyres relevant to the Vantage in the area, yes in Madrid Aston Martin and it will take 2 days. After some pretty irate and heated telephone calls to and from green flag, no further forward.

After some scouting and talking to concierge of the hotel found a tyre distributor First Stop... brilliant, guy said give me two hours and it will be fixed.

It was done and carried on my way with no further problems. I then received further calls which were really for somebody else a Mr Johnson who it seems was stuck on a motorway. I wonder for the rest of the trip what happened to Mr Johnson was he still there several days later since a further call a week after was I happy Mr Johnson with the result of the service

Lesson I now carry tyre distributors for each country I visit along with all telephone numbers.

European Breakdown cover included with the 3 year manufacturer warranty. Also included with the extended warranty if you buy that.
Policy terms read better than the AA 5 Star Euro cover, but can't comment on the efficiency of either as luckily not had to call upon them.
I buy the AA cover for the European bike trips.

Crikey Shmee !

Was only kidding about this iphone adapter thingy.

If it doesn't work it's only £21 down the drain.

No need to hide out in Europe smile

I should have gone to look really, downside of a post when you're ready for bed although you know the PH masses will get the answer right!

We go across the South coast of France from Spain to Italy in the last few days of May; hope that doesn't catch you up!

Wow, good luck smile

I would love to do something like this, but the people that I associate with the Gumball of recent years (the rich Arabs, etc.) really put me off.

I'm considering this in a year or so though, it seems more about the driving than Gumball.

Cannonball does look awesome. I'm Gumballing for work, tied in with pleasure of course, but primarily work so no night-time parties etc.
