Quick question for Roadster owners

Chaps...

on my V8V, when I am closing the roof, and it gets to the final part where the front of the roof drops down onto the top of the windscreen, and latches closed - does that drop happen softly or not?

On mine, the roof folds into place, the last part of the motion where the very front part moves down to close onto the windscreen, it literally drops into place with a bang.

I always thought that this was abnormal - but it has always locked and closed fine other than this part.

There's a couple of bars in the roof sides that can be adjusted to slow the 'fall' down. I'd guess that's what your car needs. They need to be careful they don't go too far otherwise it won't shut

Mine certainly closes softly and without a bang.

There's a procedure to carry out the adjustment if neccessary. All main dealers should be aware of it. It'll be fine!
