Whilst searching for power upgrades for Vantages, I came across this.

Is there any sort of view on this kit?

What are the options available to a Vantage owner to hike up power levels?

It's quite expensive and you need to ask yourself about the warranty on such an upgrade - engine, gearbox and all other running gear. Doing this sort of conversion on an Aston is a different financial kettle of fish than it is to lower grade kit if something goes wrong.

I'm not sure how many kits have been installed or how many miles have been driven with one yet either. That would be my first question.

Other options are all nat asp based and yield relatively small gains. The factory and Prodrive would be my first ports of call, but to be perfectly honest the car's pretty quick as it is in standard form and for most driving conditions in the UK. Again, I'm not convinced it's worth the potential downside and personally think the better option is simply to buy a car that's faster out of the box (these kits rarely, if ever, add to the residual value of a car).

There are three SC kits for the V8;
RSC, ESX and on other as yet unbranded!

None of which have more then one or two fitted to cars and none of which have offered long term feedback on reliability over decent mileages.

I'm all for something like this (if it is easily reversible) having done it before on other cars.
But none of these kits/suppliers inspire confidence with their lack of prescence and feedback after the initial test car and marketing hype.
