The Definitive Guide to Gaydon-era ASTON MARTIN
Discussion
Thanks for your kind feedback GFBIII
, the print option is under review as a lot of people seem to prefer a physical book, so it will be revisited in a few months time.
But, aside from the requests for faster Worldwide shipping that helped stimulated the Kindle route, we also have a growing weight problem as we keep adding pages, the latest extra 20+ pages pops the guide over another weight band adding to shipping costs. So, there are a range of reasons why we are trying Kindle only at the moment.
Thanks for your support in trying the format![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)
As we have turned a page I’m adding the new details again, hope that’s ok![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I too would buy again if it was printed, but I don't 'do e-books'.
Not meant as a criticism - just feedback :-)

With the the Kindle version You can download a free sample few pages to see how it looks/works as a digital book.
I felt the same way as you initially until using and living with the guide on my ipad and now prefer this to the printed book. But I’ll certainly keep you informed if/when we do reprint and thanks for your support.
Cheers
Grant

Hi, firstly thank you for replying to posts in this forum. I think most people interested in such a niche (great!) book would be fine paying a few extra pounds for postage.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I just went on Amazon to buy it, only to discover it is Kindle-only. Sorry to repeat what has already been said but I would only buy a physical book too.
Hi Faa77 & BlackV8, I do understand that some people prefer a physical printed book and as mentioned we will be reviewing things in a couple of months time. It is not just about the cost of postage (about £12 to the USA for the heavier update), but also reducing the many international queries we were receiving about delivery times, plus dealing with the odd loss in the mail, in addition to print management, packing, postage etc. This isn't about money, the Kindle version makes less than a printed book, but provides better service with instant delivery and quicker updates. For future editions we can also add items like videos to the guide, so there is also further potential.
You can download a few sample pages free to see what it looks like on your phone/tablet or computer, Apologies for repeating things, but I hope you will give it a try as there are also benefits over print, ie you can zoom into images and make text larger, bookmark pages and add notes and easily navigate around all the many pages. I now use the ipad version in preference to the printed guide, and yes even in the "reading room" (loo!!!)

Grant - this book was single handedly responsible for my purchase of the v12 vantage s. Thank you so much.
Brilliant ![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)
The new DBS has been tagged as "a brute in a suit" and I think the V12V should have been given a similar nick name ..maybe "a brute in a tailored suit" - beautiful design, classy image with an adrenalin pumping beast within

Just a note to say I have pretty much finished reading my copy. Read through some a while ago, then went back this week and re-read and made a load of notes prior to what was supposed to be an inspection of a vantage I was hoping to buy.
Sadly the car sold the day before I got to it, but I feel really equipped now to have a look round a future potential purchase. The book is amazing and invaluable!

I'm buying a 2006 DB9 Volante Manual this week and I am desperate for a physical copy of this book - sadly I don't use a kindle!
You don’t need a Kindle, just the free Kindle app... then you can use the guide on your iPad, smartphone, Android tablet, home computer, etc. If you need to see what it will look like you can download a few pages free to try once you have the app....hope that helps..... ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
