So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Had a go at sorting the gravel-rash on the rear arches. At the suggestion of Longy00000, I bought a touch-up kit from Dr Color Chip. Cost about £60.
Before

After

The stone chips can still be seen if you get really close, but from anything more than a few feet, they are pretty much invisible - quite pleased.

That’s brilliant. Was it hard to get that finish?
It was ridiculously easy… squeegee the paint onto the panel. Wait five minutes, wipe it off with a special fluid. Repeat if required.I’m properly chuffed with the results, as it pushes back the requirement for a respray.

Looks like a great job! Anyone done this with a silver colour? is it just as effective ??
I used it on my original Meteorite Silver car and worked a treat. Close examination reveals the "pit" where the paint was chipped but from a few feet away it looks good as you dont see the white undercoat beneath the paintHave also used it on my Jet Black F1 and Ultramarine black V12 to hide small blemishes (like a chip on the A pillar

I went to Autoglass for the scheduled replacement of windscreen to be told they didn't know what "other bits" might be required so sent away. Quite why they only told me this in arrival is annoying.
Be a bit careful with Autoglass. I went to them earlier this year for a screen for my V12VS. I arranged for them to go to my main dealer to fit it because the car was there for routine work anyway and the dealer was happy to accommodate. They initially fitted a non oem screen and it was shockingly bad. The dealer was so appalled he called me and sent me pictures and I have to say it was terrible ( the screen, not the workmanship). I complained to Autoglass and they eventually went back and fitted an oem screen, Apparently there is a secondary seal kit that goes with the screen btw, and the Autoglass depots don’t always stock them . The dealer supplied mine.

Lovely V12VS roadster - was that the one that Sytners Nottingham had for sale recently?
Thanks, and yes it was a recent purchase from Notts

I started a thread earlier this year or last December about a prospective euro road trip.
Well, after much pondering I seem to be about halfway along a winding route to Prague.
A couple of photos from the day

Currently tucked up near Heidelberg. It amazing how easily these cars eat up the mileage. Even roof down for about 80% of the day (mostly 25°-30°) it’s possible to make progress over ~500 miles without being completely catatonic at the end.

Had a good drive down to visit Aston Installations, near Tewkesbury, who replaced the sun-damaged gloss black trim on my DB11. Excellent service from the outstanding team there, as always. Amy's new dog is adorable, too.
I believe they have an open day this Sunday and are expecting some very interesting vehicles to be there.
