Paul, Picked up my new tamora this weekend. Done 240 miles yesterday (well it is New ), filled up to brim this morning, and took 40 litres, so that works out at 27 mpg. Surprised even me, but of course, that is keeping it very steady for first couple of hundred miles. Will obviously expect that figure to drop as the miles and Revs increase, and excitement of course!
I would imagine about 20-22mpg would be realistic, no doubt the other owners will soon respond.
With regards to the Bison/Lamonta/Leather item. I have had full hide in mine. I know it is a lot more costs wise, but having had full hide in my previous griff, I would say if at all possible have the hide. The cabin is where it all happens, and the quality of finish is first class.
The seats are quite low, and they are quite firm, but excellent as far as I am concerned.
See the topic "WOW" on this thread to see my new arrival. The Grin is still very large and wide!!

I've just done 350 miles this weekend and averaged around 23mpg. That's virtually all motorway at around 85ish. Round town I get more like 17mpg!
I went for bison/lamonta as I didn't think it was worth paying the extra for full hide. The bison looks like leather and is a huge step forward from the vinyl on the Chimaera/Griffith. The lamonta's also excellent, it feels good and makes a nice change for the underside of the roof panel.
Cheers..... Andrew

Dunno about mpg - having too much fun to count!! As long as I've got the cash for the petrol, I'm not bothered.

not that i'm remotely bothered but on a 3-hr thrash last weekend I got about 20mpg which amazed me. I find the seats lower than in a chim (there's a worse view of the bonnet at least) so I bought some longer bolts and raised mine an inch and the back and two at the front. Much more comfortable and better thigh support but watch you dont foul the roof bar with the top of the seat. My bison interior isnt wearing well

You boys should be getting loads to the gallon with your mileometers/odometers over-reading by 7%!!!

Is that bug now fixed?

Hmm, I like this idea - how did you actually keep the runners off the floor - lots of washers between runner and floorpan? Sorry if I sound stupid, but let me know how you did it, because I find the thigh support a bit lacking as well, and my girlfriend can't see over the wipers. (sorry, those two statements are not necessarily connected!) The Bison on mine is wearing quite well at the mo....

yeah I used loads of washers and stainless threaded bar cut to lenght with new nylock nuts (like the existing). the rear bolts take the strain of the seatbelts so be careful! It's easy, but you have to lift the seats out to hacksaw off the old front bolts which the runners dont slide over. hence the need for threaded bar cos you cant get a new bolt in any other way. make sure you get the left and right runner in line or the seat wont go back (sounds obvious but I cursed and swore for ages at the time). 1 hr max
