Speed 6 warranty coming to an end...
Discussion
I've just been pondering a few things.
My Tamora now has 8500 miles on the clock (nicely between services) yet is leaking a few drops of oil from underneath the engine.
As the TVR 2 year warranty on the engine is set to expire in July, I've booked it into my local dealer to check it out in case any work could be done under warranty. I was told the 2nd year of the TVR engine warranty covers breakdown only and as the car hasn't broken down....
However, they're going to take a look (hopefully for free) and see if there are any major mechanical probs. Again, as the car hasn't broken down, I doubt Warranty Holdings would pay for the work (receivership aside).
So, should I be worried about the small oil leek? Has anyone had TVR warranty work done in the 2nd year of ownership? Am I just getting worried about nothing?
Cheers,
Jim

My Tam has had a relatively small oil-leak on and off since new. Even had all the oil lines replaced under warranty a while back, but unfortunately she's started dripping again....
Still, it's never actually caused me a problem, just keep an eye on the oil level... probably worth having it checked out though, just in case an oil line is about to blow itself apart or something...
