Front 235/35/18
Rear 245/40/18

Anyone know the tyre pressures for the above on a Tamora? Tyres are Toyo Proxes.

Cheers

I use to run mine at 24 psi all round, and it was fine.

Scribbled in my handbook I've got 24 front and 26 rear.

Don't know what they are for fully laden or track day.

Is that for 16s though?

Yes, 28 is quoted all round but for 16s.

I was going to post a similar question as I've just got around to getting myself a digital pressure meter and found mine to be all over the place (25, 26, 29 and 30!).

Have got all mine at 26 now. On balance, I don't drive the car that hard most of the time on the road so I figured the slightly lower pressure will have the benefit of a little extra grip while not affecting wear too much.

I'm now thinking that 26 may be a little low?

24 all round. No problems with uneven wear.

Sure your sizes are correct? Mine are 235/40/18 and 225/35/18.

When I switched from 16" to 18" at TMS I as told to use 22psi all round and have done so for the past 2 years.

(Also you don't need the apostrophe in your thread title as it's a plural!)

Or maybe it should be 24psi?
Now you've got me thinking!

Actually, just dug the manual out and there's even more discrepancies. Manual says:

Front 225/50 ZR 16 - 28
Rear 225/50 ZR 16 - 28

But, actual tyres are:

Front 225/35 ZR 18
Rear 235/40 ZR 18

Neil, that's because the Tamora comes standard with 16" wheels. The 18" wheels are an optional extra.
But you're right, the manual really should have been updated for both sizes!

yep, but Neil has a T350!

Actually, they make a similar mistake in the brochure.... quoting 18" wheels with 16" tyres!! (for the 350)

C'mon you don't think they'd have a separate manual for the T(amora)350 do you? They're essentially the same car but with a different body......

I know all of that, I was just wondering how the hell you work out what pressure you should run a T350 at, given the info

The Tamora manual for my T350 says 24psi all round for 18" wheels. However the car has Goodyear F1's not Toyo's. The Dealer made a point of telling me that the tyre pressure should be 27psi all round. Seems quite happy at that.

I've got 18" wheels with original Toyo tyres - 225/35 front and 235/40 on rear. Local dealer advised me for normal road use they recommend 24psi all round.

Stand corrected... 225 front and 235 rear.

Will try 24psi see how I get on. GIve me an excuse to goto BP as they have a digital presure pump there...

Cheers all
