End of Lurking !
Discussion
Having "lurked" around this forum for a little while thought I'd better "come out" and introduce myself.
I have just bought a new Starmist Grey Tamora from those very nice people at Castle and am currently suffering the frustration of running it in.
I had a 450 Chimaera about four years ago which I used as an everday car for three years, then got a sensible everyday car and had an Elise and then an Exige as a track day car.Decided to return to the TVR fold due to the fact that the Exige was a little too extreme for road use and the wife always loved the TVR and hated the Exige.
With the Exige I made a lot of friends via the exiges.com forum and learnt so much more about the car than you can from other sources and it seems this forum has the same friendly feel as opposed to some of the more aggressive one you see.
Anyway, I hope this will be the start of many exchanges of views and information.

By hail or my toasting I'll be first in your posting. Don't own a Tamora, David, but thought I'd welcome you to Pistonhead City.
Did you know a "ward" was a Roman earth hill, built pyramid shaped to "ward" off Barbarians? They can be found all over England. A "tamora" is a chariot that can hit sixty in ... just kidding on the last fact.
Welcome David. Please note- L.A. is like that because he has a Griff in Scotland and he's in America. Absence of TVR will affect your sanity.... you have been warned!

..comes from the odd curious PH observation.
Ooh, this sentence is a bit tricky. Do you mean
comes from the occasional strange observation of PH or
comes from the occasional strange observation by a PHer or
comes from the odd observation by a PHer who is too nosey?
Trouble is LA, that if you make an allusion to something on PH, someone will always try and work it out Put me out of my misery will you, and tell me which it was?
Well what can I say - I thought TVR ownership was all about cosy meetings at rural pubs and swapping badges and anoraks - how times have changed - it now seems it's internecine transglobal warfare - excellent !!!
Not what I expected but well - yes TVR ownership defies logic and sets us apart from the herd
David

And thank you, Mrs Fish, for the kind encouragement. You have me taped.
Well, I think you should perservere, there are more nice people on this site than not. The site has grown phenomenally in the past 12 months, so they can't all be nice Don't give up on it completely
