Hi guys, mind if I pick your brains (again)?

I am looking for a second hand Tamora, and have driven a couple now. The early ones have a lower seat, which doesn't suit me as well as the later slightly higher one (shorty). Anyone know when they modified it?

And that Bison stuff in light colours looks really grubby after a while doesn't it?

Ideal spec:
Halcyon Atlantis (gorgeous colour)
Air-con for those hot summer days top down, and the rainy days when heatsoak is a pain
16" wheels as I think they look as good and ride a bit better, handle a bit less nervously.
Hide and Lamonta interior in blue and gray or similar
Mileage not a problem if looked after
Everything working (!)

Thanks, and feel free to disagree (as if you would worry).

Mine was registered April 02, and it had the lower seat. I think it changed when they revamped the car, which was motorshow time, Oct 02. May be wrong though.
Personally, I would go for the 18 inch wheels. They just give the car a whole new stance, and although not driven one with 16 inch wheels, the opinion on here seems to be that the drive dosen't suffer any.
Excellent choice

Go for 18" wheels, definitely - residuals will suffer if you don't. The ride quality hardly suffers at all, but the 16" wheels are lethal on track days.

I have never felt heat soak to be a problem in my car - just lucky I guess.

Make sure you have the black bits on the bonnet, and the rear spoiler, colour coded.

Bison wears very quickly, but it's replacement is tougher, leather better still. The Lamonta seat facings are excellent for grip.

If the seats bother you it isn't difficult to adjust them using longer bolts and spacers - they're bolted through the floor directly to the chassis.

Hi Nubbin, why lethal? I assume you mean sudden breakaway, but I would have thought the 18"s would behave similarly at the limit. Any tyre will breakaway eventually as I found out last year when I had a sudden moment of doubt at Craner Curves, Donington, lifted off and found myself travelling sideways at 80mph. A bit of grass in the cockpit, but no damage fortunately.
