I had a strange metalic whirring sound in the car today whilst driving, Oh no I thought this could be somethink serious! started to panic a bit,trying to find where it was coming from, then discovered the gearknob was loose and the collar underneath was vibrating against the stem. After tightening the collar (its threaded) the noise stopped, phew! that was a relief,The joys of owning a TVR.
