..... that I said 'hi'!

I have been reading this forum for about 6 months now, and thought that it would be polite of me to introduce myself!

My husband and I don't currently own a TVR, infact we never have. We are currently saving hard for a car which will be a step up from both of our current cars. He keeps bringing up the 350Z and the T350C whereas I only go on about the T350C!! Infact, i've even named our online savings account - 'TVR fund'! and we're currently having a gate fitted on our drive which we made sure there would be enough room behind it to fit a T350C or maybe that's sad and I shouldn't admit to this?!??!.

The science profession doesn't pay well, so we'd be considering a 2nd hand T350C, but must admit it would be fantastic to be able to choose exactly what you want the car to look like, mind due don't think i'd ever be able to decide.

I used to want a Tuscan in Moonraker black and I do still think they look amazing. But after visiting the HLGorner TVR place in Wigan to look at TVRs (something we do now and again), I stopped dead when I saw the T350C's and that was it, Tuscan no more!!! You couldn't get me out of the car - that driving position is amazing, it's like being in a racing car!! And the one they've got there with anthracite wheels, wow that does look mean! (we've got lots of photos!!)

So please don't send me packing for writing on here and not owning a TVR - we aim to do so one day

You'll probably 'see' me around now and again!!

You are not alone! I joined this forum well before I had 100% decided TVR was really for me. Even now, and we have a car on order, I cannot believe I am realising a dream of 17 years! Welcome to the gang, although I am actually going to be a Tamora owner, I must say even though I have never met any body on here yet, I have never communicated with a more friendly bunch of people and I feel I am making new friends and joining a family!

regards

Simon

Me too!

Seems to be the way it's done.

Had the Tamora for two weeks and it is unbelievable. Can't wait to drive to work in the mornings. I think all that grinning has turned me a bit mental!

I'd rename all you bank accounts TVR fund if I were you and see if it speeds things up a bit!!

Hi and thanks for all your welcomes!

Oooo you're all lucky bu99ers to own TVR's now or have them on order, god knows when we'll have saved enough to afford one!

It's nice to know that i'm not the only one to join the forum in preparation for TVR ownership!

We've not yet driven or been driven in a T350C (or any TVR come to think of it) but from reading everyones posts and magazine reviews I can't help but think that it would live up to my expectations, or perhaps exceed them?!

I have to agree with what you say about this site, everyone seems to have repsect for each other and are very friendly. A little bit different to another forum i'm a member of.....!

Had my T350 now for only two weeks, cant wait to open the garage door everytime just to look at it, let alone drive it, its an awesome car.
Im afraid once you've test driven one thats its, you'll start savings those pennies even harder, i did, poor cat its looking a bit thin must remember to buy it some food if i can afford it!!!
Anyway im sure it'll be the 350C or T and not the Z, you wont regret it!

Hi Em,

I swapped my 350Z for a 1 yr old T350C. I personally don't think you could go wrong with either car in terms of having something that is really great fun to drive. However, they are *very* different and once the T350 is under your skin, the Z doesn't stand a chance. If you need a car that can behave like a grown up as well as a hooligan, the Z is perfect. The Tiv is just a full-time hooligan

I loved the Z a lot though, and had I not been lucky enough to be offered a simple, affordable upgrade to the TVR (private deal - he wanted a Z, so we swapped), I would've had a few happy years with the Z. Looking forward to the day that they are cheap enough for a 2nd car

What colour T350 do you want?...

Welcome as well!

I echo the sentiments above - we had a lot of help from the PH 'family' before we ordered our Tamora directly from the factory. In fact, Danielle at the factory was very impressed with my research on the Tamora, all of which came from here!

Although we wouldn't choose a T350 because we wanted a ragtop (fabulous when it's not raining!), the T350 is still a superb car - probably because it's only a Tamora in disguise......

Hi Emma
I too troll the site looking for information and join in gentle banter now and again. Been to several meet ups and met new people who have been very friendly and helpful.
Having owned my Tamora for nearly two years now it still fills me with joy every time I poke my eyes into the garage, taking her out blows all the cobwebs and worries away, just lat night on the way home form work, 3 people (all under the age of 16 mind you) shouted "what a wonderful car". It's a great feeling to be driving a british sports car "marque" that is apreciated by the GB public in such a way to make you feel proud.
Hope you fulfill your dream soon- it;s definately worth it!!

Wow! What a great thread - Tamora owners daring to stand up and admit to owning one. Be proud chaps, we must stick together in our love of the only TVR ragtop!!

PS - Welcome to the friendliest car club in the world, Em!! (And Mr. Em, as he will no doubt be on here shortly )

Hi there!!

Thank you for more of your welcomes!!

Think we will test drive the 350Z at some point, both intrigued as to what's it like and how it compares to our current car (Clio 172). Have read lots of good reviews about the 350Z! Hmmmmm colour of T350C.... well all I do know as it has GOT to have anthracite wheels, since I think they look awesome ! So any colour that works well with those... perhaps a dark blue or dark silver/grey... Ooo I don't really know!! I keep seeing colours and thinking that's nice, that's nice etc....

The Tamora is a nice car too, but since we already have a rag top (MG Midget) it's not really a priority

Think I will have to register Mr Em for my husband, am sure he'll appreciate the name He's got lots of questions to ask (of a more technical nature and less about colour
