I've got an order for the Sagaris but am worried it won't turn up 'til next year. I was starting to wonder weather a T350 with the 375 bhp engine wouldn't be near as dammit. With the grey wheels it looks a lot more sagaris like too. Apparently the 375 engine produces it's peak power at 7900 rpm - so it should rev like an M3, something the 4.0litre won't. Personally I'm more a high rev man than a low down torque sort of guy. But the Sag will fly for sure and there's always the option of a 440 bhp version surely...

How long does a new T350 take to be built?

Cheers

Ordered my (mostly) standard T350C late Jan & due any day now, but TVR production line output for each model often varies a bit dependant on demand for other models.

T350 RR, just as quick as the Sagaris and cheaper.

P.S I have a plate T5SOR which would look great on the T350R, im sure the 5 could be modified to look like a 3

A 375BHP T350 would be not much slower if not the same on the road, but, around a track the Sagaris might be much quicker, but one has never been round a track.

The only hope is that TVR seem to make cars in large and surprisingly quick batches based on motorshow orders. If you look in the classifieds the TVRs for sale all seem to come from the same model year. I read somewhere about the first 100 chimera's being in a couple of months. If so the Sagaris that's in bits might not take too long to be around once they get building. But there's still no sign from any recent factory visits I take it. One dealer claimed to be getting a Demo car in May! Yeah right!

Is this new TVR at the motorshow going to be a complete new car or a variation on a current model?

What spec is the Sagaris supposed to have? Is it the T400R lump?

Remember the RR kit also includes the vinylester construction so its 50 odd kgs lighter than the straight GRP construction.

Its a TVR Wheelchair for when Peter Wheeler retires. Order one now and be the envy of the retirement home. Apparently wind noise and water leaks won't be an issue cos at that age everyone does it...

I understand that the Sagaris will have a 3.6 litre engine to differentiate it from the 4.0 litre being used in the Typhon.

No No No No... You might as well have the T350 then. It's has the 400bhp unit and there is a supercharged version also at 480 BHP..

As far as I understand it, the Sagaris is definitely using the 4 litre from the tuscan R. I'd have preferred a lighter tweaked 3.6 but the 4.0 litre is an amazing engine. I tried a tuscan R and it was like it was powered by a spitfire engine and felt properly, intimidatingly fast. Using the 4.0 must mean the 440 bhp tweaks are available (at a price) as it's the same engine in the tuscan 440 R. Hell's teeth!! The typhon is rated at 550 bhp with a supercharger and it' s thought that this engine will only go into race Sagari. Still, I'm sure there's a price.... where there's a wallet there's a way

The Sagaris and Typhon will have different engines (to distance the more expensive Typhon), otherwise TVR risks the possibility of Sagaris owners tuning their cars to be Typhon quick. That was the word from TVR, but then you know how easily they change their minds..

The supercharger in use will increase top end and mid range power quite noticeably, but the low end will loose a little... thats the cost of using a supercharger... but thats the theory, who knows, maybe TVR have implanted the supercharger intelligently?

IMO the T350RR will be a lot quicker off the mark... but the supercharged models will easily overtake around the 60-80mph mark.

I would love to see a sequential quad-turbo and supercharged model on the books... now that will be fun!
