Anyone come up with an easier way of getting the roof panel in and out of the boot, or is there a mod for it. Its a pain as everytime It pulls the rubber seals away.
It is a pain, best thing to do is to get some longer bolts and some spacers for the top mounting plate of the gass strut. It enables the boot lid to open a little wider and so makes it easier.
Hope this helps.

I know I am dumb, but where do you get those from? I heard they amended the boot design but I was going to mod mine anyway.
Go to your local Iron mongers or BQ do all sorts of blots, washers etc
Also cut away some strategic bits of boot carpet and replace with plastic film (I'll post a picture) and the panel goes in and out very easily.

Thanks for the tips,
Don't the extended bolts affect the lock and catch?
Thats what I always struggle with - I dont see how it closes if you extend those bolts.
I extended the hydraulic arm instead by puttin some washers betwwen the mechanism and the screw on end joints.
Only needs to be fractionally longer.
cheers
I did the same as AromaT, doesn't change the lines of the boot and is VERY effective. Remove the gas strut, which has a good amount of thread at each end, then replace putting a couple of washers at top and bottom. Works a treat.
