The guy definatly knows what he is selling I would bite his arm off straight away...

My guess is that it had the RR conversion to 375 bhp. Check with Danielle at the factory...

I'm annoyed .. my company has announced a round of redundancies and I won't know if I'm affected for 2-3 weeks. I don't think I am, but I would be foolish to buy a 30+k car right now. Otherwise I'd race you up to Sheffield Nick!

IF it's an honest car and not been thrashed from cold too much (if you can details of last owner who must have taken a 12k loss in under a year - ouch) then it is a steal at that price.

Hmm, Red Bull looks great with Anthracite wheels too.

I know a great honest car for sale at a great price at the moment... :whistleswhilstdrawingcirclesinthefloorwithhisfeet:

PS: I did think that last night when I was scanning Autotrader. Either it's a PP upgrade @ 375BHP or the dealer's pissed.

Managed t0o speak to original owner, apparantly its had an upgrade to 375bhp anyone know what that is? Also it was the lightweight option with tuscan s brake upgrade.
Ps anyone know what warranty the vehicles get from new, because ive had a look at an 03 reg 1 year old and the owner told me it had another years warranty left, whereas this trade seller told me this vehicle has a 1 year manuctures warranty so 6 months left
Cheers

T305's come with 2years engine and 1years other warrenty. The lightweight option makes about 40kg diff and all the newer cars have it.

oh and there were very few cars with a 4.0l engine and they are quite rare. The bulk of the 375/380bhp which is now known as the Red Rose are done through exhaust and intake modifications with a blueprinted 3.6l

Hope that helps.

I can't for the life of me remember the owners name, but if he was from Lancashire area I can tell you a little bit about the car.

Edited to add:-

Just searched Autotrader and found the pictures on the dealers website, I'm pretty certain I was talking to the previous owner about a week ago.

Let me know if the description of the owner fits the bill!

Nope, this guy isn't a PH member.

I've got Barefoot's old Tuscan! I'm pretty sure his T350 isn't Red Bull Blue.

Only remember it as a car, not the colour, as he was talking about the power upgrades before the T350 were even on the streets, much respect .

Minor point (and could've been retro fitted) but I noticed he has the new style glove box lid, like my 53 plate car and, as I've done 6k miles in mine in about 6 months, the mileage seems a little low.

Just pointing it out, there may be simple explanations of course.

Nope not mine, my car is Lotus Lazer Blue. I have just picked it up from the factory it's had an oil change as I am off to Nurburg tomorrow.

Also had a very slight hesitancy at low revs and drivers door window a bit noisy all now fixed. I've done 9,000 miles now and thats all that needed fixing in the last 6 months. Not bad methinks!

The engine just gets better and better, last time at Oulton park it has started to spin the tyres going into 3rd gear which it didn't used to so loosening up nicely.

Not sure what the factory offer as the official BHP for the Red Rose upgrade as some seem to quote 375. When speccing the car I asked Danielle for a faster version and then we stumbled across Petr Wheeler so she confronted him about it. He agreed to make a high powered version of the 3.6 engine for me and then Christof, but somehow I am not to sure if this is the same spec as they are doing now.

I saw the dyno sheet for my engine (at one stage over 400 BHP) and know Andy and Paul who built it, so I know what it is producing. But I originally asked Peter if he would make me one with the Tuscan Red Rose engine and he said no so I doubt any 4 litres have been made.....but I could be wrong!

Are you saying ALL the new T350's have the lightweight shell..... I don't believe that's the case. However I stand to be corrected.
It was part of the original Performance Pack - pre Red Rose - along with the brakes, the remapped ignition, induction and exhaust mods to give the 375ish BHP.
As far as I am aware there's only a handful with the PP pack out there...

Without raking up all the previous debates...
By lightweight fibreglass you mean polyvinylester ?
If that's so then TVR are swallowing a rather large material cost.
If you are talking about the woven texture as opposed to chopped strand then that's not the same....
The ester resin and matting combination used provides the thinner/stiffer/lighter bodyshell used in the performance pack examples. This in itself necessitated different moulds and a much more intricate laying up process...
Additionally, the weave of the matting is criss-crossed at what appears to be 90 degrees, forming a very noticeable lattice network which definitely doesn't look dotty.
I'm intrigued though.... if they are using a lighter matting with less resin then is the body work thinner?

The spec of that car suggests that it must have cost well over £45K new - at £30K it would be a huge depreciation!

I've got the exhaust.......So, what does the intake modifications look like then? Any Photos/drawings of this? I've seen a Tuscan with a modified intake, DIY but worked wonders.
