Very stiff gears and re-attaching the bonnet badge

Hi,

I’ve had a quick trawl back through the last few months discussions and cant find anything relating to other experiences with extremely stiff gears (mostly first and second). I have a 02 reg Tam which has done less than 15k miles. The problem has been so bad sometimes that I have been forced to pull away from standing in second gear as I can not get it in first. Is this a known issue with Tams or should I get this looked at ASAP (it seems to be getting worse/more common)?

Also my bonnet badge has fallen off. Looks like it was previously (well) glued on. Can anyone recommend how best to put it back, or even where I can pick up a new replacement as it’s pretty worn?

There are bonnet badges for sale in the Parts /TVR section in the Classifieds that would do.

On your clutch issue it could be that the fingers are failing and will need to be sorted soonish before the clutch fails and no gears can be selected. Best idea would be to let a TVR specialist look over it and see what they think.

Look at this thread and you will see the missing fingers in the last picture, there should be a full circle of them!!

I had exactly the same problem beginning of the year and my clutch was pretty much the same as the one on the pther threads picture.
New clutch and slave (worth changing if still on original) was about £1100.

Yep the clutch is knackered same symptions as mine get yourself up to Str8six for Jason to have a look at the price is very reasonable now as well.
