Hi Guys,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if any of you were planning on going to Le Mans and booked after October last year with the ACO you are in big trouble.
I’ve just got off the phone the ACO to check our booking. Eight of us booked directly with them back in December.
They have told be that they are working on bookings that received in October at the moment and that they have already run out of camping and pre allocated Grandstand space. They have already started a waiting list but they said there is no point anyone who booked after October going onto it as there is just no space.
I can’t believe this, it’s just such a mess.
I’ve spoken to the TVRCC and they made their booking whilst at the race last year and even they did not get the allocation they wanted and the limited space they did get is scattered across all the camp sites.

Anyone got any comments / good ideas.

Well, I managed to get into Houx with the TVRCC. But we were the first to book, thanks to Benno being on the ball....

Hope you manange to sort something out , you are not the first person I've talked to with this problem.

I will mail you privately later, but I may be able to help.....

I'd put a request for tickets in the Le Mans thread. You usually get a number of people pulling out and if you're quick off the mark you might be able to pick up a couple of pitches on houx.

I've just spoken to the ACO again. We have now cancelled our booking for this year. So that will be one less Tamora at Le Mans. We booked in December and are apparently on a waiting list with a 1000 or so other people. As there were eight of us that all booked at the same time and all wanted to camp together the ACO said there would be no chance of enough cancellations coming up, so we decided to knock it on the head this year. Our booking has now been transferred to 2003 and there are already quite a few bookings for then and also 2004 !!
This Le Mans thing is just starting to get too popular
