T350 HID Options

Hello,

I have tried to search for answers to these questions but as the search is not working I cannot find all the answers.

I want to fit some HIDs as the standard lights are not upto much.

I have read that some people have had issues with kits causing odd electrical issues.

Is there any kits available which are known to be ok with the T350?

Also, are the headlights projector or reflector type?

Can you not tell from looking at the lenses on the lights? projector have fish eye style cover lenses. I'll get round to doing this on the Tam at some point, a HID kit around £90 off ebay will be my route. I think it's pot luck on the issues front...ideally you should take a fresh feed for the lights to stop issues. My car already has a glitch with the stock lights so I'm not too bothered

I will take a proper look when this rain stops!

£90 sounds cheap, are they good quality?

I have read about using a feed direct from the battery, just use the existing wiring for switching the lights.

The £90 sets are fine, they are the same as the more expensive 'UK' items from some companies. Taking a direct 12v feed for the power and 2 earths (1 per ballast) will make no difference to the electrical issues of the dash illumination LED's going out. Just turn the lights on first before the ignition. Radio noise is because of where the ariel is and where the ballasts need to be mounted (just use a CD or IPOD when the lights are on)

I got mine from ACEparts (they are on flee bay), my 5000K/35W H4's have worked fine for the last 18 months no problems. Easy to fit it should take about 1-2 hours (wheels off job on the Tam for access to the lights and battery box)
