Hi everyone, I'm getting a bit fed up with the roof rubbers, one of mine has begun to split where the 'extension' starts. I know I can get it redone under warranty, but as you all know, sometimes it is better to work out a different way and do it yourself.

(I've tried the screw fix before and that also lead to the rubber splitting).

So, has anyone got a fairly new Tamora (or seen one) ? Have roof/rubbers been changed/redesigned ? Does the rubber still extend about 6 inches ? Have anyone tried just cutting the damn things off, does this effect water ingress ?

Lastly any ideas for stopping minor but irritating leaks on each side of the boot ? Is it as simple as replacing the rubber seals ?

Thanks

Steven

Mine is a year old, ex-demonstrator and the rubbers end with no overhang at all and it makes no diffreence to water ingress whatsoever. Makes you wonder what all that stuff flapping about is for, doesn't it?

The other half has recently got a Tamora. Water ingress seems to be much worse than on my Griff (which is minimal unless it pi55es rain sideways)

Apparently you can inject silicone into the front door seals which fattens them up and stops water dripping inside by the wing mirrors.

Sorry to hear that. Mine is bone dry in the main cabin. I think the boot problem is that fatter seals are needed. Probably going to cut off the rubber excess as everything seems a good fit in those corners.

Hi Dave, that Tamora is Kings Sports Cars' originaly demonstrator. I got my Tamora from Kings as well which also leaked badly and they were completely useless at fixing it!
Mine's all sorted now after new seals fitted by the factory so there's no reason why yours won't be water-tight if the get the right people on to it.
Good luck....
