Ive just recently sold my 96 Chimaera and am currently looking for a new motor. Ive just recently test driven a T350c and a Tamora. Several things immediately came to mind. First of all wow what acceleration, but in both cars i couldnt help noticing a smell of petrol, is this normal, and secondly the interior trim looked worse than in my chimeara finish wise. Also any info on the 3.6 speed six engine. Thanks

Can't comment on the petrol smell other than to say it can't be normal surely!

S6 engines are fine now (have been since about mid 2001) and even before that date the problems only affected a small minority of cars (the ones you hear about - owners of the good ones have nothing to whine about)

If you think the 3.6 is fast try a Tuscan RR or S

If you have a petrol smell, get it checked out, you may have a small leak

Why not have a good look around the underside for that leak - use a Zippo if it's a bit dark.
