As above the radio in the T350 is on the blink, hit a bump and it switchs off for a few seconds.
What have you got in your car? Or what would you recommend?
Thanks in advance
John
I have a Alpine hard drive head unit in mine - cable to the glove box where I sit my Ipod and then control it through the head unit. Massive difference and easy to do using the same plugs that were there before. What have you got in your car? Or what would you recommend?

Go on any car audio website and just get one with decent ipod control.
I have recently fitted an Alpine iD- X313 after someone decided they fancied the front panel from my old Pioneer.
It has no CD player (which I never used anyway) just ipod / USB and radio. I'm pretty pleased with it as the radio seems much better and it is a little (but not much) easier to understand.
The installers fitted it for free as they liked the car so much!

Matt. I own a car audio shop and am a main dealer for Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer & JVC Etc we are also one of the lagrest Parrot dealers, To be honest (and parrot will not like me saying it) but i would not recommend the car stereo they make! though the stand alone kits are the best in the business. The parrot unit has an oversized face and will stick out from the dash quite a lot and we have had a few other issues with them also.
If you are looking for a unit with Buletooth and ipod etc i would recommend the Alpine CDE113BT (OR 114) this is cd/mp3 has USB and Aux and also you can run a ipod cable from the back that will charge and give you control over your ipod (i have this cable run into the glove box in my T350) The other big advantage with this unit in its got PARROT BLUETOOTH built in. This unit is by no means the most expensive one you could buy but its a really good allrounder for not much more than the parrot unit would cost you.
Some pics of it in mine and some other parts of my system (still and allways work in progress!)
Shane..

Yea matt the only differance between the 113 and the 114 is on the 114 the cable is included for ipod and the finish is silver rather than black - the 114 is about £25 quid more expensive but the cable for the 113 is also £25 so same price really.
If you are looking for something easier to use and you dont care about the lack of cd then consider the Alpine IDA X range all come with the ipod leads included - the parrot bluetooth can be added but its a hide away box which will make the installation a bit harder and costs around £180 on its own.

I haven't had one of these in yet but being a pioneer it will be good - looks really smart probably a bit more fiddly to use than the alpine ida's but. i think the only other problem with these is you have to connect your ipod via the usb on the front - so it wouldn't be as neat as some others.

Shane.
Its a JL Audio 8W3 8" Sub. It fits in nice and tidy and dont really take up any boot space also sounds really good.
Shane.
Some pics of the sub box being built.
Area Taped up.

Wood front baffel and F/glass sealed construction

Trimmed and Finished (PS The box can be removed at any time with no damage to the car)

Thanks for that Shane, looks really good and gives more scope for a bigger sub than the toolbox space at the rear! Might go down that route myself now!Shane.

What do you think of the Pioneer MVH-8200BT? I've always liked Pioneer units after I had the DEH-77MP in one of my old cars which was a gorgeous looking & sounding unit.
I've had one of these recently fitted to my Tuscan the MVH-8200. I also thought it would be good having been pleased with Pioneer stuff in the past. I bought it online (as you do) as I wanted a complete ipod solution. It's crap because it has a stupid click 4 way knob style controller which is very difficult to use while driving with the hard suspension on my Tuscan. Actually it's difficult to use while parked as well!! If it had not cost £240 odd quid I would sling it and buy something else.SimShane, this is all completely your fault!

I don't think the box I've made is anywhere near as nice as the one SimShane made, but it is functional and, by God, the sub is punchy as hell! I used the same one that SimShane did and for an 8" sub it really is fantastic. I have some leather left over from when I re-trimmed the luggage cover housing, so might re-trim the box as the faux-suede that's on it just now isn't that great.
Still, it's a very nice addition to any boot!

First class job! Im glad to see you followed my lead.. Great choice of sub for this car - JLs 8w3 sounds awesome and fits just perfect - if set up right in this car it sound like a pair of 10s! What amp are you using? and where did you mount it? I have an Alpine PDX fitted into the tool kit pocket.

Also added a JL 8" Grill To mine so the bits and bobs in the boot dont kill it.

I'm running a Vibe Slick A3 4 Channel Amp. 1 channel is bridged for the sub, with the other 2 running the rear speakers. I ended up mounting the amp low down on the bulkhead behind the drivers' seat; it's way too big to be mounted in the passenger footwell and there was no hope of it going in the toolkit space. Happily enough, there's an earthing point in beside the drivers' seatbelt mechanism which was very handy!
If I hadn't have seen your setup first, I certainly wouldn't have thought of it so a huge thanks for the inspiration!
