Most TVR owners (even on very new TVRs) think themselves lucky to get away with less than a grand for a service. it isnt the quoted price but all the extras that need doing!

Mr Freefall, £72:00 an hour...........Good Grief!!!! You would be cheaper sticking your car on the back of a transporter and sending it up here to be repaired.

TVR Power is about the cheapest (and best) around for official servicing and their website states £449! It also says that the 6,000 mile service takes 6.5 hours.
Where have you got your quote from?
Cheers..... Andrew

A 6,000 service takes 6.5 hours and we quote £397.00 exc VAT. Our labour rate is £44.00 per hour which makes us a lot cheaper than many other mainstream manufacturers agents. It is possible to get a larger bill, but this means that you will have had additional works carried out not just the routine service. It never ceases to amaze me with the figures that are bandied about regarding servicing costs etc. You really need to have the full story to avoid the 'chinese whispers' scenario which usually does TVR no credit and is far from the truth.

I can vouch for the HHC quote. That's what I was charged for my last 6k service.
