I am getting some Nitrons put on my Tuscan today (old dampers were leaking).

I just wondered whether anybody has driven a Tuscan on Nitrons and a T350 or Tamora. How do they compare?

The T350C is still the better handling car. But there will be a marked improvement to the Tuscan!

Well worth the £

Beg to differ, the Tuscan easily outhandles the T350 when fitted with Nitrons .. the T350 on std suspension is still a compromise don't forget, with adjustable suspension you can tweak it to exactly the spec you require, if the Tuscan isn't better than the T350 it's cos you've not got the set-up right.

So what about a T350 with Nitrons?

You probably guessed it, the balance switches again .. the T350's better rear aero efficiency means that in high speed corners it gains it's advantage back .. High speed corners is the std tuscan's achilles heel, the S is much better however. The T350 better still...

How would a std Tamora and also a Nitron equipt Tamora sit within the scheme of things?

My guess is between Tusc / T350 - but then I don't know what affect being a convertable has (ridigity wise)...

I'm not going to argue with Joos

It could be that my benchmark is my brothers' nitron fitted Tusc... with 19" wheels also...

This thread now reminds me of the sketch in Men Behaving badly where they're in the pub when the really thick landlord was there. He kept coming up with different animal fight scenarios like -

"So, a fox and a badger that would be a good one" or "How about a lion and an elephant".

OK, you had to be there

Update. I have got the car back. What a difference!!! Even in a straight line it feels so much more planted. Going round the twisties is so much better (I can start wearing white trousers again!). Superb!

Jools, did you get the cheque yet?

I will be in touch soon to get some fine tuning done.

Joolz,

What would a set of nitrons on my Tuscan S set me back? I'm down for a Sagaris this year so kind of weighing up whether I spend on the Tuscan and don't get the Sagaris or get the Sagaris and stick better suspension on it....potentially would make for some awesome handling...

Alan, you've got to try a car with the Joolz set-up, not just the Nitrons, I think springs/geometry are also a large, if unsung, part of the "Nitron" improvement.

So.. would a Cerb be the Lion or the Elephant?
