Always feel a little too vunerable with just a seat belt in a convertable. Has anyone installed a harness in the Tamora?

No, but it's something I've thought about as well - the cornering ability of the Tamora is such that I would feel much more in control in a racing harness.

Especially if you're going to loop the loop.

Nice one, jigs - I've moved on now, and I'm trying to put behind me an accident in which I could have died - but thanks for reminding me again

Surely you're more vulnerable in a convertible with a harness - unless you fitted a roll hoop.

It's a personal preference for me, I would much rather be securely strapped down in the event of accident - modern harnesses have a central quick release. I also find a harness gives me better control as it stops any sliding around in a seat when used for high speed work such as track days.

To fit one you need at least four secure mounting points and I was wondering if anyone had already gone down this route. Nubbin, if I get any info from TVR I'll let you know.

Nubbin - you don't want to forget something like that - would a harness have benefited you or might it have made the outcome a bit messy, i.e. beheaded.

I agree - although my track skills won't come anywhere near yours, Kieran!

The roll-hoop in the windscreen is pretty strong and survives "full inversion" - puting a second hoop behind the seats would help I suppose, but spoil the lines of the car - but being a Tuscan based chassis, the holes are drilled to take a rear roll bar.
