Was on the M25 today driving very fast but nothing i havn't done before when the roof decided to come off at the drivers side... had to open window and hold it down until i found a suitable place to stop to access the problem.. i found that the rubber that goes round the windscreen which the roof goes into had come off slightly which caused the roof to pop over it.. It looks like no glue was used on the rubber to seal it down.. had the roof flown off it could of caused a serious incident.. I guess it's problems like this that have given TVR the poor build quality over the years that really should of been ironed out by now.. has anyone else experienced this with the roof?

Yes Nick I had the same thing happen - it was after I'd had the windscreen replaced, and I think it wasn't put on square. The screen rubber started rolling off the surround and a 1" gap appeared! I was doing 135mph at the time!!

Get your dealer to sort it out -

Hi.. I've applied some glue myself and bonded it down.. but i think i should double check with the dealer for peace of mind... I take it they'll probably just unstick it and reapply some stronger glue... I was travelling at a similar speed to you when it happened maybe i'll take the roof off next time i decide to go for a blast...
