Does the paint sand off ok? I tried to paint strip one with Nitromors and it would't touch it. Just won a steering wheel off ebay to experiment on, sorry TOMMOMIC just outbid you. Also want to get it recovered in dark blue leather or suede. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the south?

Morning tweety... glad to hear you got my wheel OK... "to experiment on" indeed, thought it was going to a good home The wheel I've bought to replace it is from a Tamora - same as a Sagaris Incidentally, I've seen an identical wheel after the spokes had been polished by a plating firm, and it looked really good - you could even wet'n'dry it after the polishing for a satin finish. Hope you're ok after your mishap, although seeing as you were in a Volvo its probably a daft question Regards, Andy

Do TVR supply the Blonde accessory lolling in the passenger seat?
Hi Andy, don't worry the wheel will look excellent when finished, even if it has to be plated in the end. I can never understand why so many cars have the standard black manky item when they have great interiors, and then shell out on loads of extra ali bits aswell. Any photos of a standard wheel that's been fettled? Oh, and thanks, don't feel too bad now, just a stiff neck, but still took the Chim out for a quick blast without the roof anyway.

If all the Tamoras are the same, the wheel I bought has the two buttons on a separate ally plate, in a kind of wing shape, that mounts between the wheel and the boss using the six bolts - if you're changing the wheel, the plate can be left in situ and the new wheel bolted down over the top.
