I think the little car with the big engine has won me over. Haven't thought about anything else since my test drive on Friday.

So, down to business: targa or coupe? I like the roof-off option of the targa of course, but the coupe looks sleeker and I'm trying to keep the price down. Plus the wind noise through the targa was very noisy at speed I thought - but that would be compensated for by the extra engine sounds you'd get the benefit of with the roof off

When did the targa versions come out? What is the general price difference between a used T350C and a used T350T?

thanks all

Not many T350T's around second hand yet so its hard to say the price difference just yet.

Air con is good.

Go for the coupe with air con, you will save a fortune.

Another convert

Well I went for the Targa, 2 years of Cerbera ownership convinced me that the "T" was the only option. Have to agree that the "C" looks better. There are some C's on the second hand market but I haven't seen any T's second hand yet.

Out of interest, how would the 3.6 S6 compare to the 4.0 Tuscan you used to have? My initial impression is that the 3.6 S6 is very smooth but not quite a punchy as the Cerbera V8.

It works fine. Kept me cool in the middle of summer with the windows up.

Go for the T.
You won't regret it.

Coupe looks good, Targa has all the semi-open-top merits. The residuals are +1000 better for the Targa, although it'll cost you twice that to spec it.

Consider, which was a better experience, the 350Z or the Elise and Tuscan?

My suggestion is to drive a Coupe and a Targa back-to-back for comparison.

I'm looking to get a T too. I do not think the execution of the targa top is that good but I like the styling and open airedness. I have a question:

Has anyone considered having an aftermarket sunroof of some kind fitted into a T350 non-targa instead? It couldn't be a worse finish than TVRs own concotion (I'm not complaining, just stating a fact).

I was thinking of one of those webasto style fold back sunroofs, or even a removeable glass panel. I had one in a previous (older) car and it was great. Question is, would it hold at speed ...

I know this is controversial and I am not trying to say the T350T is a bad car - I want one too!

Its a common misconception that the roof has two holes cut into it - it actually has one big one that is made into two smaller ones by the carbon fibre "bar" that is fitted in the middle. I'm guessing this helps maintain the rigidity as its screwed to the roll cage.

Just simply cutting a hole in the roof may well compromise this, IMHO, though I could be wrong.
