T350 test drive tomorrow!
Discussion
I've got a test drive in a T350 at Racing Green tomorrow.
Coming from a '00 Tuscan that handled like a bad-tempered racehorse, via an Elise that handled like it had velcro tyres to, now, a Nissan 350Z (V6, rwd - really great balanced drive) ... what do you think I'll make of the T350?! I think that if it really can handle like they say, it might be the car to bring me back to TVR...
Can anyone who's driven any of those cars give some insight?

I've driven all the cars you mention albeit the Nissan only briefly. Have you tried a later Tuscan? the difference over the early models is massive.
No Mesh, I haven't. I might see if I can get a go in one tomorrow after the T350. Would you say a late Tuscan is as good as the T350?
Hi Girlracer,
If you sit in and drive that car you will buy it!!!
We had a T350c for a long weekend from Castle TVR, and we both nearly wept when we had to take it back on the Monday.
Hence we now have our own stunning midas pearl yellow T350c.(checkout pic's in my profile). It out runs most things on the road, corners like you wouldn't believe, and people stop and stare everwhere we go.
I'm Fifty going on twenty five ever since we got our first TVR, so please come back to the fold, you will be most welcome

Great colour T350 Valhalla
Cheers for the comments on the colour of the car Mike, though its not to everybody's taste.
Do i take it that you are an aspiring TVR owner? i hope you don't have to wait until you are fifty.
In the meantime drive the old chaps tiv(s) as much as you can.
Dave
Ps... Girlracer, have you had that test drive yet?.

Had my test drive... It went something like this:
Also tried out a Tamora as a comparison. My main reason for trying it was the Tamora being cheaper, yet essentially the same car. The T350 was certainly stiffer, but the Tamora was certainly no pussy cat and a *lot* of fun. Had it's tail out round a nice muddy corner... Still, looks wise, I dunno, just not me, so we'll cross that one off the list. The T350 is lovely though. A perfect fit for me at 5' 4", although probably cramped for anyone taller! You get in and the cabin just wraps around you. It felt *very* similar to my Elise in terms of sitting in it and instantly becoming a part of it, (albeit with comfier seats!) Driving wise, at speed on the twisties it reminded me a lot of the VX220 Turbo I tried, but with much more grunt. So much feedback... it was like having a conversation. Just makes me want to learn to drive better. A challenge yes, but maybe that's what I need to hold my interest? Elise included, I have never felt the word 'driver's car' fitted a vehicle better than the T350. But that's just the weekend driving stuff - my regular driving consists of London, so straight roads or traffic, both of which I feel the T350 would handle great, and be very entertaining with it's sound and just that 'alive' feeling it gives you with all it's rumbling and vibrating! But with a car like this, my new hobby would be blasting out into Surrey every weekend. I simply can't believe you can have that much fun legally (well, almost!) on public roads, for free. It's like having your own fairground ride.
I guess that's really pure driving. It's not even like it's a car, it's like some kind of spaceship or wild animal. I really can't describe it any better.
I still actually prefer the looks of the Tuscan, but it never made me feel a part of it like this little guy did. This really felt alive, like you'd be buying a crazy little friend rather than a car! Would like to try a later modern Tuscan though and see how that handles on the same crazy roads. John took me on the most bumpy, winding, mud-edged road in Hampshire! But the point was to really get a grasp on how it handled. I think... unless he was just trying to make me puke.
Ok, but in terms of whatamIgonnado? I guess I should see how prices hold on my 350Z. I need to strike a balance between waiting for the T350's to be affordable, but also not wait so long that the Z's value plummits. But then again... life's short, and summer's round the corner...
