Are they meant to ne heated? Mine certainly aren't as the frost doesn't clear ... have they broken or were they made that way?

Yep mine seem to be working and the handbook says it has the facility. I know this may sound stupid but are you pressing the right button as I have sometimes pressed the wrong one

Yep, they're definitely heated and work automatically initially.
You can also manually heat them for 30 secs or so using the button on the mirror alignment panel to the right of the steering wheel.

Mine don't work automatically and I hadn't read the manual (I'm in IT and it's legally a last resort), so next time I'll try pressing the button and see what happens.

MINE DON'T WORK AUTOMOATICALLY EITHER - YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE BUTTON AND THEY COME ON FOR 30 SECS OR SO.

Yup, button pressing on mine brings them on.
