Driving stories
Discussion
OK - It's clear in my mind that the Tamora is a great car and is reasonably subtle in its appearance. So I'm assuming that owners have had several incidents with lesser mortals in lesser horseless carriages. So come on give us some driving stories, it always cheers me up when I hear about TVR's out running Subarus, Porsches, BMWs etc. Go on get it off your chest.

Well I have three so far...
First was a guy in red 911 Turbo near Royston the day I got the car, he really was trying hard but when i went round a round-about without braking he gave up. No TVR I have owned has done that
Second one was last week. Geezer in a Vauxhall Calibra Turbo decided that he could go quicker than me... 11pm at night empty road (dual carriageway) and I lost sight of him hitting 160 at the high point
I slowed down and let him catch up and he was grinning at me I like a bloke to admit defeat well. Always be a gracious winner and a fair loser and you won't have any trouble.....
Finally I had a race with a superbike the other week. Bloke did beat me but I watched in the relative comfort of 150 as he wobbled all over the place in the wind at what I guess to be about 175+. poor guy scared himself but gave me the thumbs when I caught him.. top man

he did it again coming back from TMS on sunday.....with me on board too! a Suzuki GSXR overtook us and proceeded to nail a convoy of cars going uphill, flash, never being one to resist a challenge took off after him. Now I'm not a religious man but I thought of muttering a swift prayer (if I knew any)anyway, we cleared the cars effortlessly and by now were doing some insane speed (don't know what it was cos flash was too busy and I was in shock)the bike was maxed out going through some mild s bends and getting twitchy and we were actually gaining on the thing! He eventually slowed down and kept popping wheelies, giving us the thumbs up and was clearly impressed. These muthas are 'kin fast!

That's apache and benno in the space of a week I've had in the car and both of them loved it so did the geezer on the bike.......

Apache, I clocked us at 120mph with that bike in front - it must have been awesome to see 3 Tamoras barrelling down the M1 at that speed! It was brilliant being behind flash, and Andy behind me (Ooh, matron!) - Flasher's Tamora looked wicked from the back, and I kept checking on Andy in my rear view morror, and his car looked so mean and dangerous- really low on the tarmac, wide set and purposeful. He lost ground in traffic a few times, but just came thundering back in clear air. Effin' great drive!! Enjoyed the doughnuts at the airfield, too!!
