Okay, without anyone laughing at this topic, can you tell me what fuel economy I can expect to get on a daily commute on A Roads and Motorway (round trip of 65 miles)
We want to buy a tamora for every day use and although the insurance is relatively cheap (when compared to one of those common Boxsters) and servicing is not too frightening - am I going to find that at 15,000 miles a year we are going to have to buy shares in a petrol station???

No problem, but really depends on how heavy you are with your right foot. I get around 20/25 mpg as an average.
But then again its a sports car and you are more likely to want to put your foot down, so figures go out of the window ! (My wife's Laguna auto does roughly the same around town)
Buy it to enjoy and experience a TVR its great!

Done 7500 miles in my Tamora since April and have got an average of about 24mpg. Best is 29 and worst 17. All depends on how you drive it. Best was on motorway on a run up to Scotland when just cruising at 70'ish. Worst was when showing it off to brother + his mates on country lanes around Suffolk.

Don't know how you guys are getting high 20's per gallon - you must have very light right feet.
I get on average 220 miles per tank - this is based on the fuel gauge value of 52 litres and filling up at 0 litres (rather then when it runs out) - this should then discount the variance in reported fuel tank size (I think that there is actually another 10 litres when 0 litres shown on fuel gauge, hence TVR's claim that there is a 62 litre tank).
52 litres = 11.556 Gallons (based on 4.5 litres per gallon).
220 Miles / 11.556 Gallons = 19.03 mpg.
Quite often see 190 miles per tank (16.44 mpg).
Once I saw only 140 miles (12.14 mpg).
On a long run down to Cornwall or such - 250 miles (21.63 mpg).
..but every single mile and gallon well worth it.
