hi

i am considering buying a tamora from my local tvr dealer. he has a one year old tamora with 0 miles as he was "messed about by a customer who's finance kept falling through."
my question is would you buy a tvr that has been standing for this length of time and what precautions should be taken (like changing the oil? etc)

thanks for any help.

I suppose the other question is why has it remained unsold for so long?

thanks for the replies.

the dealer claims it has only become available for resale recently because of the legal dispute over payment. the car was registered on a 52 plate. i will speak with the dealer monday but i doubt i will get full warranty on it.

IMHO I would be extremely cautious. Cars in general (and in my experience TVR's in particular) are better used frequently. Things perish, corrode, you name it without use.

The car might be fine, but without the warranty I would view it as quite a risk, so make sure that the price is right - and if this is the titanium car at HHC then the price is a bit too high if a belt and braces warranty isn't included (when compared to others on the market).

If nothing else, push for a service FoC before collection, and a free service after 6,000.

There is very little in it, Fish says, I guess it depends on what looks you prefer. And as you say your budget.

Have you considered buying privately? You could probably get a t350c which is still covered by manufacturers warranty for the same price as a Tamora from a dealer.

If you,re worried about the cash, buy my Tuscan then I can buy the T350c.
Think the t350 looks much better than Tamora, as does Tuscan, But T350 better all round!
